Lunchtime Concerts at the Oratory of St. Francis

 

Enjoy the exclusivity of the exquisite Oratory of the St. Francis Church in Republic Street in Valletta. Presently, it is hosting weekly music recitals every Tuesday at       12:30 pm, showcasing some of the best musicians found on the island.  The recitals usually last about 50 minute and are fund raising events in aid of St. Francis Church.

The Ave Marias

Soprano Marita Bezzina will perform an amazing repertoire of seven Ave Marias composed by diverse great composers: Verdi, Mascagni, Schubert, Camilleri and Caccini, amongst others.  This sacred theme has fascinated many world-renowned composers who have creatively composed their version of the Ave Maria.

 

Ms.Bezzina will be accompanied by pianist Ramona Zammit Formosa, who will also perform solos with a Marian theme.
